BJP demands probe into LG Polymers gas leak incident by sitting HC Judge
Terming the LG Polymers gas leak tragedy as man-made due to the irresponsible attitude of the company, the BJP AP president Kanna Lakshminarayana demanded a judicial probe into the incident headed by sitting Judge of High Court assisted by technical experts.
Amaravati: Terming the LG Polymers gas leak tragedy as man-made due to the irresponsible attitude of the company, the BJP AP president Kanna Lakshminarayana demanded a judicial probe into the incident headed by sitting Judge of High Court assisted by technical experts.
He addressed a letter to CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday, in which he stated that any other committee could not bring the truth and punish the guilty.
Further, he said that the experts cautioned that the victims are likely to suffer the effects of this poisonous Styrene gas leak through their life. As all these victims are poor, they could not afford medical expenses later.
Hence, he requested the CM to provide permanent health cards to all these victims, life long, for receiving treatment to any ailment or problem because of inhaling this gas. He observed that this measure was very much needed. At the same time, he appreciated the relief measures announced by the Chief Minister.
