Call to encourage students to vie for Prime Minister Shield
District Education Officer and District Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides VS Subbarao asked the headmasters of the schools to encourage their students to participate in the competition for Prime Minister Shield.
Ongole: District Education Officer and District Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides VS Subbarao asked the headmasters of the schools to encourage their students to participate in the competition for Prime Minister Shield.
He participated as the chief guest at the one-day orientation programme for the scoutmasters held at the Municipal High School in Ram Nagar in Ongole on Tuesday. Speaking at the programme, Subbarao ordered the scoutmasters to form a scout group in their school and asked the headmasters to cooperate in this regard.
He said that the scoutmasters should see the moral values, patriotism, discipline, Swachh Bharat, eradication of illiteracy, etc should be improved in the children. He asked the headmasters and scoutmasters to see a large number of scouts and guides from the district participate in the competition for Prime Minister Shield.
Later, the scoutmasters felicitated the DEO for his leadership in keeping the district in 2nd position in the Class X results. The Scouts and Guides JSOC P Srinivasulu, district ASOC T Rajendra Prasad, scoutmasters association district secretary A Subbarao, district treasurer KV Sesharao, school principal Veeraiah and other scoutmasters also participated in the programme.
