A case was booked regarding the fire accident at Visakha Indus Hospital as the preliminary investigation revealed that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.

Following Chief Minister Jagan's orders, an inquiry committee consisting of five officers, including the District Revenue Officer, District Medical and Health Officer, East Assistant Commissioner of Police, Fire Assistant Officer, and the District Coordinator of Hospital Services, was formed. The Visakha Collector has instructed the committee to submit their report within 24 hours.

The committee visited Indus Hospital, gathered information about the accident, and presented their findings to the Collector. Based on this report, it is expected that further action will be taken against the hospital under the Clinical Management Act.

Meanwhile, out of the 47 people involved in the accident, 24 patients have already been discharged from the hospital, while the remaining 23 are receiving treatment in various hospitals in Visakhapatnam.
