The AP Government has published a Gazette notification permitting the Census enumeration for 2021.

Amaravati: The AP Government has published a Gazette notification permitting the Census enumeration for 2021. Principal Secretary Shashi Bhushan Kumar issued a GO MS.No.11 on Thursday, mandating concerned authorities to participate in the Census of India 2021. There are altogether 31 columns to be filled in the enumeration.

During the Census enumeration, the government will collect data related to use of electronic gadgets like radio, transistor, television, access to internet, laptop, computer, telephone, mobile phone, smartphone. The focus will also be on the mode of transportation of the public like bicycle, scooter, motorcycle, moped, car, jeep and van. Apart from that, to understand the food habits, the government will take information on the main cereal consumed in the household. Mobile number to be collected for census related communications.

Census authorities will enumerate buildings particulars on 5 items. They will note down two particulars related to household particulars, for census house used wholly or partly as a residence. Two items related to the head of the household. The remaining items related only to normal household and also related to the assets of the household.

The Central Government declared that the houselisting operations of the Census of India 2021 shall take place from the April 1, 2020 to September 30, 2020 in India. Census are being undertaken as per the section 3 and section 17A of the Census Act, 1948 read with rule 6A of the Census Rules,1990.

All Census Officers within the limits of the local areas for which they have been respectively appointed, will ask all questions from all persons on the items to be enumerated, explained Shashi Bhushan Kumar, in the GO.
