Rajamahendravaram: MP Margani Bharat Ram has said that Union Minister for Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Giriraj Singh has assured to develop marine and aqua-based industry in twin Godavari districts.
Speaking to The Hans India here on Saturday, he said that he met the Union Minister recently in New Delhi and briefed him about the abundant opportunities available in twin Godavari districts to develop fish and aqua-based industries.
He also underlined the need to sanction subsidy for export of aqua products which have a great demand. He also said he asked the Minister to reduce the cost of aqua feed which is the need of the hour. The MP pointed out that East and West Godavari districts have a coastline of 200 km.
