TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu will visit Amaravati capital villages on November 28. He will inspect the capital construction works and observe the current condition of them.
Vijayawada: TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu will visit Amaravati capital villages on November 28. He will inspect the capital construction works and observe the current condition of them.
Naidu did not visit the capital location villages except attending the Assembly sessions after his defeat in the recent elections Previously, he used to review the capital construction works, progress and visit them regularly during his tenure as the Chief Minister.
He gave utmost priority to capital construction. But after the defeat of TDP, the current YSR Congress government stopped all capital construction works. Moreover, the State government announced that capital construction is not its priority. Amidst the controversy, the Centre also removed the Amaravati capital name from India's map.
It has also created confusion and gave chance to new speculations on capital location. The MPs of TDP raised the topic in the Parliament while the Centre made an announcement again including Amaravati's name in India map as the capital city of Andhra Pradesh.
The farmers of Amaravati capital villages regained some confidence following the Centre's step and expressed the development as a good sign to their hopes on capital construction. In this backdrop, Chandrababu Naidu wants to visit the capital villages and works along with his party leaders.
The farmers of Amaravati are also expected to participate in large numbers in Naidu's tour. Already the farmers and landowners announced that they would take part in hunger strike beginning from the first week and during the forthcoming Winter Session of the State Assembly scheduled to begin on December 2. Hence, the TDP chief's tour of Amaravati assumes political significance.
