Vizianagaram: Former chief minister and TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu will visit Ramateertham village of Nellimarla mandal in the on Saturday. He will visit the Kodanda Ramaswamy temple at Bodikonda of Ramateertham village, where the idol of presiding deity Lord Srirama was beheaded and head thrown into a pond near the temple.

Endowments department teams after a search found the head of the idol in the pond. The incident assumed political angle with opposition TDP and BJP cadres staging dharnas at the foot of the hill demanded the government find the culprit and bring them to justice. K Nagarjuna, TDP Vizianagaram parliamentary constituency president said that Naidu would arrived at Visakhapatnam by flight reach Ramateertham by road.

He would visit the temple at the hill and speak to the people there. Later, he will come to Ashok Bungalow and interact with media. "On behalf of the people, we will fight against the atrocities and will safeguard the temples. This inefficient government has not at all taken seriously the series of incidents of temple vandalism and is incapable of protecting the temples from the rogues," Nagarjuna said.
