The Good Friday is being observed today by the faithful in the Jesus Christ all over the Prakasam district to mark the crucifixion of the son of God and his death at Calvary.

Ongole: The Good Friday is being observed today by the faithful in the Jesus Christ all over the Prakasam district to mark the crucifixion of the son of God and his death at Calvary.

Being the important weekend for the Christians, the churches in the district are congregated with the believers meditating in silence at the special prayers remembering the pain that Christ has underwent for the sinners.

The Jewett Memorial Baptist Church, Bible Mission Church, Bethlehem Prayer Mandir, RCM Church, Covenant Prayer Center, Seventh Day Prayer Tower and others in Ongole, The Centenary Telugu Baptist Church in Podili, the RCM Church in Giddalur, St Anthony Church in Chirala, Lurdhamma Church in Karemchedu, ABM Church and Telugu Baptist Church in Markapuram organized processions portraying the Jesus carrying the cross for crucifixion to Calvary hill.

The churches scheduled special prayers and masses in the evening to read psalms, gospels and sing hymns praising the love of God.
