Civic chief inspects drains in Acharya Ranga Nagar
VMC Commissioner V Prasanna Venkatesh visited Acharya Ranga Nagar here on Tuesday and made a field level inspection of underground drainage, roads, parks and water tank.
Vijayawada: VMC Commissioner V Prasanna Venkatesh visited Acharya Ranga Nagar here on Tuesday and made a field level inspection of underground drainage, roads, parks and water tank.
He instructed the engineers of the Town Planning department to connect the UGD pipeline of the area with the main UGD pipeline at Pinnamaneni Polyclinic Road. The Municipal Commissioner visited Acharya Ranga Nagar on a complaint received from the people on the overflowing drainage, damaged roads and others issues pertaining to that area.
On noticing the problems, the Commissioner instructed the officers concerned to take action to connect the UGD pipeline to the main road pipeline. He further instructed the engineers concerned to prepare a plan to construct compound wall to the park and water tank at Acharya Ranga Nagar.
Later, the Commissioner visited the service road from Ramavarappadu ring to Polyclinic road. On observing the damaged fencing, he instructed the concerned department officials to take measures to repair the damaged fencing and paint the wall.
He also directed them to replace the tiles which were damaged on the footpath at Benz Circle. Chief engineer Mariyanna, executive engineers V Srinivas, Koteswara Rao and others were present.
