Civic chief inspects flow in drains
VMC Commissioner V Prasanna Venkatesh ordered the officials concerned to take appropriate measures and use air tech machines to drain stagnated water
Vijayawada: VMC Commissioner V Prasanna Venkatesh ordered the officials concerned to take appropriate measures and use air tech machines to drain stagnated water in the city and see that there is a free flow of drain water through side canals to prevent mosquitoes.
As part of the city visit, the Commissioner on Thursday visited Rotarynagar, Kabela, Upparavagu, Milk project, Chanumolu Venkatrao bridge, KL Rao Nagar major outflow drain and Naizam Gate and observed the drain water flow in the major outflow drains.
The Commissioner on observing the piled up garbage which was obstructing the flow of drain water at KL Rao Nagar major outflow drain ordered the concerned to clear the garbage with immediately and see that there was free flow of drain water.
He told the officials to use air tech machines to drain water logged due to rains. Executive engineer K Koteswara Rao, sanitary officers and others were present.
