Cleaning works at Krishna river inspected
As part of Krishnamma Suddhi Sevalo (KSS), cleaning of Krishna river, the district collector Md Imtiaz visited Yanamalakuduru village on Thursday and inspected cleaning work taken up by panchayat raj department.
Vijayawada: As part of Krishnamma Suddhi Sevalo (KSS), cleaning of Krishna river, the district collector Md Imtiaz visited Yanamalakuduru village on Thursday and inspected cleaning work taken up by panchayat raj department.He said by reducing pollution we can give a better health to the society. He said that 11 tons of garbage and waste was removed from the river and shifted to dumping yard.
The irrigation department, panchayat raj department and Vijayawada Municipal Corporation have to take up KSS on a regular basis and transform Vijayawada as a pleasant place to live in, he added. He said that it was the responsibility of every denizen not to contaminate the major canals that pass through the city. He further said that KSS programme will be taken up in phase wise to keep the city surrounding clean
