Ongole: Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan will launch the Nadu-Nedu programme in Ongole on November 14. The programme will be simultaneously launched in different districts by Ministers. This was disclosed by Education Minister Audimulapu Suresh here on Sunday.

The Minister inaugurated his camp office in Ongole on Sunday and inspected the arrangements for the Chief Minister's programme. After inaugurating the camp office, the Minister said that the recruitment of teachers for filling up the vacant posts will be done soon to provide quality education to students in the government schools.

He said that the government is taking measures to provide quality education to students to ensure that they boldly face the competitive world. He said that the State government was introducing English medium education to students belonging to the poor and weaker sections on par with the corporate schools to fulfil the promise made by Jagan Mohan Reddy during his Padayatra.

He said that the syllabus is being prepared adopting scientific methods to facilitate students residing in rural areas improve their English language skills. With an objective to simplify language learning for students, the government planned to introduce the English medium in a phased manner and the teachers will be trained to teach the language, the Minister said.

He said that the Jagan Mohan Reddy's government is giving utmost importance to education and has allotted a major share of funds. He assured that the required infrastructure in schools like furniture, drinking water and toilets will be provided.

The Minister inspected the arrangements for the Chief Minister's programme at PVR Boys High School in Ongole and made a few suggestions to the officials and police. The officials explained to the Minister about the security arrangements for the convoy, dais, stalls, galleries, drinking water, toilets and other arrangements.

He instructed the officials to construct a pylon as a memorial for the launch of the Nadu-Nedu programme by the Chief Minister. AJC K Narendra Prasad, Additional SP B Sarath Babu, Ongole DSP KVVSV Prasad, DEO VS Subbarao, APIIC ZM ML Narasimha Rao, Ongole RDO M Prabhakara Reddy and other officials accompanied the Education Minister.
