CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy reviews on Power sector, govt to soon bring Energy Export Policy

The Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed the authorities to adopt a favorable policy for the power distribution vendors. He also suggested the authorities to create an Energy Export Policy in the state for smooth sailing of the power department. Speaking at a review meeting with the power department held at the camp office in Tadepalli, Jagan Mohan Reddy said his government's goal is to invest in the power sector and create more jobs.

The chief minister has discussed the proposal of land lease to the power industries, which benefits the landowners by providing income. He advised the officials to look into it.

On the other hand, the officials have explained to the Chief Minister that NTPC is likely to generate another 1000 MW power for which they are trying to provide land to the company. CM Jagan said asserted to take steps to set up the plant as soon as possible.

He also directed them to install electricity feeders for the supply of 9 hours of power for the agriculture sector.
