Kadapa,April 9: District collector CH Harikiran has inspected Strong rooms of which EVMs, VV Pads stored after election at Kandula Lakshamma women Enjineering collage in Kadapa city on Tuesday. He also inspected the polling booths set up in the same collage premises.

Speaking the occasion he said in view of smooth and fair condition of election the district administration has deployed about 25,000 staff from all government departments in various capacities. He said as many as 6,550 EVMs, 6,900 VV Pads are being utilized in the interest of about 22,04,964 voters in 2,276 polling booths to exercise their franchise in proper manner.

However collector said about 645 media persons from both print and electronic media are proposed to cover the election procedure under specific guidelines of Election Commission of India. He said there was no entry for police into the polling booths unless Presiding officers call them to when there was untoward incident prevailing in the polling centers.

He said either entry of liquor in to the villages towns, are selling them strictly prohibited. Liquor outlets, Bars must be remain closed from 9th

6 PM to 11PM. The collector directed all candidates must conclude their electioneering by 6 PM on 9th April that is Tuesday. Joint collector Koteswara Rao and other officials were present.
