Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar inspects lands to be acquired
District Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar on Sunday inspected the lands which were proposed for acquisition so that they could be distributed among the landless poor in the district. He visited Medikonduru and Perecherla mandals in the district.
Guntur: District Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar on Sunday inspected the lands which were proposed for acquisition so that they could be distributed among the landless poor in the district. He visited Medikonduru and Perecherla mandals in the district.
He interacted with farmers who came forward to give their lands for land acquisition. He assured them that the State government would pay compensation to them for giving up their lands. He directed the officials concernred to take steps to acquire land and pay compensation to the land owners and farmers.
He said that the aim of the government was to distribute land to eligible families by Ugadi. He instructed the officials to speed up the process. Guntur RDO Bhaskar Reddy explained the steps taken by the officials to acquire land to be distributed to the poor as house sites. Guntur West Tahsildar Mohan Rao, Guntur East Tahsildar Srikanth were among those participated in the programme.
