Collector inspects arrangements at counting centres
District Collector and DEO Praveen Kumar ordered the concerned officials to complete all the arrangements for the counting of votes of the general election by May 21.
Eluru: District Collector and DEO Praveen Kumar ordered the concerned officials to complete all the arrangements for the counting of votes of the general election by May 21. He inspected the counting arrangements at CRR Engineering Collage of Nidadavolu and Gopalapuram constituency here on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said all arrangements have to complete for the day of votes counting on May 23.
He further said that the counting of the votes will be held with two tier police protection at every counting centre in the district. He said that the EC was issuing the special ID cards for the election staff in the counting centre. He inspected all the arrangements taking place at the counting centre for counting of votes.
The Collector ordered all the returning officers to inspect CC cameras arranged at the counting centres. He said that the counting of the votes will be conducted at four levels. All arrangements are made for counting for 15 assembly and 2 parliamentary segments in the district.
