Collector makes surprise visit to government school

Chittoor: Teachers and parents should play crucial role for instilling confidence among the students for achieving goals, said District Collector N Bharat Gupta and added government schools are not inferior to corporate schools in maintaining educational standards and in infrastructure.
The Collector mentioned that the State government has allocated more funds in the budget for education sector. He made a surprise visit to ZP High School at SC Colony in Padirikuppam village on Friday and interacted with the students. He inspected classrooms, toilets and other facilities.
Gupta ate meals along with students and asked them about food being served to them under the mid-day meal scheme. He directed the teachers to create awareness among the students on water conservation and planting of saplings.
