DIG of Visakhaptnam Range L K V Ranga Rao donated blood followed by other officials. Ranga Rao urged the officials and employees in the department to come forward to contribute to the cause and not to fall to misconceptions about blood donation. He stressed the need to save lives by taking part in the noble programme.

Similarly, the city police too held a blood donation camp at Commissioner's office and in various sub-divisions.

Commissioner of Police RK Meena and DCP (Zone II) B. Uday Bhaskar contributed to the cause, donating blood.

Among others, DCP (Zone I) S. Ranga Reddy, Additional SP Ajitha Vejendla, among several other officials attended. King George Hospital Blood Bank staff was present.
