Vijayawada: Civil Supplies Minister Kodali Venkateswara Rao alias Nani inaugurated Covid-19 ward at the Area hospital in Gudivada on Monday.
He inspected the ICU unit ventilators and other equipment arranged in the hospital.
Speaking on the occasion, Nani said the efforts were on to set up district hospital with 500 beds in Gudivada.
People of Gudivada and nearby areas will be benefitted with the setting up of the district hospital.
He informed that Chief Minister YS Jagan mohan Reddy has agreed to the proposal to set up the district hospital in Gudivada and proposals also made to acquire 10 acres land in Gudivada for construction of the hospital.
District Collector Md Imtiaz, officials and local leaders attended the event.
