Create awareness on child rights: BJP MLC Madhav

Visakhapatnam: There is a need to create awareness among public on child rights and their protection, BJP MLC P V N Madhav said on Sunday.
Releasing a poster on measures should be taken to prevent child abuse, trafficking and slavery at a programme organised by Child Rights Protection Forum (CRPF), he said that creating awareness on the issue was a step towards curbing child abuse. This apart, he laid emphasis on training girls in self-defence techniques.
Narava Prakash of Bala Vikas Foundation mentioned that they will take a beach walk on December 12 at 6 am at RK Beach to create awareness on the issue.The walk will start from RK beach to YMCA in collaboration with the NGO representatives working for the child welfare. District Child Protection Officer Satyanarayana, CRPF president G Sitaram, among others participated.
