Vijayawada: Kanaka Durga Temple Executive Officer MV Suresh Babu said the Dasara Navaratri festival celebrations will be held from September 29 to October 8. Addressing media conference here on Friday, Suresh Babu said the temple administration is gearing up to conduct the mega event and darshan of Goddess Kanaka Durga will begin after 9.00 am on the first day after completion of rituals. He said during the remaining days, the darshan will be from 3 am to 11 pm.

He said that on the holy Mula Nakshatram day, darshan will begin at 2 am and end at 11 pm. The EO further said that as a part of festival arrangements, drinking water sachets, tents and electric lighting will be arranged and queue lines will be formed to check stampede.

He informed the temple administration will arrange mike facility at important places for the convenience of the devotees and adequate security measures will be taken including setting up of more CC cameras.

He said special bus facility will be arranged for the convenience of physically challenged from Rajiv Gandhi Park Centre and from Railway Station. He added that the arrangements for distribution of free prasadam have been completed.
