The electricity department is going to extend its services online, announced the minister for energy, forests, environment, science and technology, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy.
Ongole: The electricity department is going to extend its services online, announced the minister for energy, forests, environment, science and technology, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy. He formally launched the website of System Applications and Products & Information Technology by the Central Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh Limited, in his residence in Ongole on Wednesday.
The minister announced that with the new technology, the services offered by the electricity department will be available to the consumers more freely and conveniently. He said that the department has spent Rs 12 crores on the new technology, to provide the best services to the public in Guntur, Prakasam, and Krishna districts by maintaining the servers, material, trailers, work orders, salaries for the 7500 employees, utilization of transformers, etc. He said that the bills and payments of the electricity consumers will be done smoothly by the use of information technology.
Later, the minister inaugurated the calendars and dairies by the AP BC Vidyut Employees Welfare Association. The AP JAC Amaravati chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu, JAC general secretary YV Rao, AP BC Vidyut Employees Association state president Parisa Venkateswara Rao and others explained the issues of the employees to the minister.
The APCPDCL CMD Padma Janardhana Reddy, board directors K Santhosh Rao, G Eeswaramma, SAP GM Yoganandam, Prakasam district SE Sivaprasad Reddy, and others also participated in the program.
