Eluru : The third regional conference organized by AP JAC, Amaravati, in Eluru evoked huge response as thousands of employees turned up for the conference and demanded that the government fulfill the assurances given to the employees. The AP JAC Amaravati’s agitation entered the 80th day on Saturday. The regional conference was held at the Tobacco Merchants association hall near the bus stand in Eluru and daring the scorching sun, a large number of employees enthusiastically participated in the meeting and extended their support to the agitation. Earlier, the employees took out a huge rally in the city holding the banners and flexes displaying their demand from Dr B R Ambedkar circle in Eluru to Tobacco Merchants Association hall.

Addressing on the occasion the JAC chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu said the JAC agitation was continuing due to the negligence of the government and warned that the government has to pay a heavy price for neglecting the employees.

AP JAC general secretary P Damodara Rao said the AP JAC Amaravati would continue the agitation. He said false allegations are being levelled against the JAC by some other unions. He alleged the government is trying to create hurdles to stop the agitation and encouraging some other unions.

JAC state association chairman T V Phani Perraju, treasurer V V Murali Krishna Naidu and others spoke.
