Father, daughter killed as lorry hits bike in Vijayawada
A father and daughter died in a road accident as their bike was hit by a lorry at national high way 65 near Ibrahimpatnam.
Ibrahimpatnam: A father and daughter died in a road accident as their bike was hit by a lorry at national high way 65 near Ibrahimpatnam. The father has taken the daughter to Vissannapeta as she was not keeping well. This tragedy struck when both were returning back after the treatment.
The deceased identified as Bandaru Srinivasa Rao (30), Tirapatamma (10) belong to Paritala village in Kanchikacherla Mandal of Krishna district.
Recently, Tirapatamma broke her arm, and in order to get her treatment, farther Srinivasa Rao took her to Vissannapeta on his bike. In the return when they were coming via Vijayawada, a speeding lorry hit their bike from behind near Ibrahimpatnam.
In the incident, Srinivasa Rao died on the spot, and Tirapatamma sustained server injures. The traffic police shifted her in the patrolling vehicle to a nearby hospital. While receiving treatment, the girl died at Gollapudi Andhra hospital.
The police have shifted the bodies to Vijayawada government hospital for postmortem. On receiving the complaint from relatives, the police registered a case and investigation further.
