The first Zero FIR was registered in Krishna District Nandigama Subdivision after the government decided to register the Zero FIR irrespective of jursdiction. FIR has been lodged in connection with the kidnapping case of a Rangapuram boy in Veerulapadu zone. The boy's father Ravinayak has lodged a complaint with the Kanchikacharla police.

Though the Kanchikacharla PS is not covered .. The case is registered and prosecuted. The police, who came into the field with two gangs, identified the boy in Miriyalaguda Mandala Veerampadu in Telangana and handed over to to the parents.

ZERO FIR came into force after the gruesome rape and murder of a veterinary doctor who abducted in Shamahabad of Hyderabad. It is advised and framed guidelines and sent to all the district police stations. It is directed that the ZERO FIR is mandatory and should implement every now and then to curb the crimes on women especially. So, the first case under ZERO FIR has been successful in the state.
