Vizianagaram: The State government is intentionally creating confusion among people over capital Amaravati, alleged former Minister and senior TDP leader Ganta Srinivasa Rao here on Sunday.

Ganta flayed Minister for Urban Development Botcha Satyanarayana for making regular statements on Amaravati to mislead people. The TDP leader demanded that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy should break his silence and make a clear statement on the capital issue. He pointed out that Jagan had earlier agreed to the proposal to set up the State capital in Amaravati.

Ganta opined that the TDP was rejected in 2019 Assembly elections and it could not gain the confidence of backward communities. He said the party would correct its mistakes and regain power in the next elections. Former MLA M Geetha and others were present.
