Guntur: Centre committed to the welfare of fishermen, says State BJP chief Kanna
BJP state president Kanna Lashminarayana on Sunday said that BJP Government was committed for the welfare of fishermen.
Guntur: BJP state president Kanna Lashminarayana on Sunday said that BJP Government was committed for the welfare of fishermen. He recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given a separate ministry for the Fisheries Department to implement the welfare schemes.
He addressed a meeting held at Guntur Convention Centre on Sunday on the occasion of training classes conducted for fishermen under the aegis of the Fishermen Welfare Association.
Speaking on this occasion, Kanna Lakshminarayana recalled that Narendra Modi allotted funds to implement welfare schemes for fishermen. He urged the fishermen to avail welfare schemes and get benefits.
Akhila Bharat Seema Suraksha Pramukh Gopala Krishnan, Fishermen Welfare Association state president Kadiri Polaraju, state general secretary K Polaiah were among those participated.
