Guntur: District Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar stressed on the need to preserve water for the future generations. He explained significance of water in the life.
He inaugurated HDFC SAVEATHON 2K , 5K run for water at NTR Municipal Corporation Stadium in Guntur on Sunday. If water was not saved, we would be facing difficulties even in getting a glass of water to drink in future, he warned.
Speaking on the occasion, he urged people not to waste the water and use required water. He requested people to take steps to check leakage of water from the taps. He said in future wars will take place for water.
He appreciated the HDFC Bank for conducting run for water with a social responsibility. He conveyed International Women's Day greetings to women.
HDFC Bank circle head Mukundam, cluster heads Venkata Ramana and Kiran were among those who participated.
