Guntur: Officials directed to finish pending UGD works

Guntur: Rajya Sabha member Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy directed the officials to complete the pending underground drainage works (UGD) in Guntur city within a year.
He conducted a review meeting with the GMC engineering, Shapoorji and Pallanji company representatives at GMC council meeting hall on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, he directed the officials and contractor to work with coordination to complete the UGD works. He said that the government led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was trying to develop Guntur city as a model city in the state and develop infrastructure.
He instructed the officials to revive the UGD works immediately and assured that he would speak to the state government regarding release of funds for the completed UGD works. He directed the officials to prepare an action plan to complete the pending UGD works. GMC commissioner Challa Anuradha, Public Health department superintendent engineer Srinivasa Rao, GMC superintendent engineer Ravi Krishna Raju, executive engineers Santosh Kumar, Dasari Srinivasa Rao were among those participated in the meeting.
