Guntur: Two hours heavy downpour badly affected normal life in Guntur city on Monday, as the rainwater inundated main roads. It rained heavily from 3 pm to 5 pm. Naaz Centre, Government Women's College Road, Brodipet, Arundalpet, AT Agraharam, GMC office, KVP Colony and Mirchiyard area were under the sheet of rain.
The vehicle riders, pedestrians faced lot of problems due to rain water stranded on the road. After two hours, the rain water started receding.
The people suffering from high day temperate got some relief due to rain.
The rain during the last two days is useful for the farmers tilling the land in the rural to start farming activity.
The cotton farmers have already started farming activity. Cotton sowing activity completed over one thousand acres in the district.
