Guntur: Saiva Kshetras are decked up for auspicious Karthika Masam festivities from November 16.

Amaralingeswara Swamy temple at Amaravati, Trikoteswara Swamy at Kotappakonda, Bramaramba Sameta Mallikarjuna Swamy temple at Pedakakani, Guttikonda Caves, Daida and other Siva temples are decorated for the celebrations.

Interestingly, Karthika Masam beginning with Karthika Somavaram ends with Karthika Somavaram. Devastanam authorities will perform special pujas like Eka Dasa Rubdrabhishekam, Laksha Bilwarchana every day to lord during the Karthika Masam. Devotees believe that if they perform pujas to Lord Siva, their wishes will be fulfilled.

APSRTC Guntur region introduced special package to visit prominent Saiva Kshetras including Pacharams for the convenience of devotees visit Saiva Kshetras in the coming Karthika Masam. Guntur region decided to start special buses to Samarlakota, Draksharamam, Palakollu, Bhimavaram and Amaravati.

Similarly, special buses will be operated to visit Yaganti, Mahanandi and Srisailam kshetras for the convenience of devotees. Special buses will be operated from all the depots. APSRTC Guntur region is operating special buses to Srisailam, Kotappakonda and Suryalanka. For details the passengers may contact 9959225444, 0863-2255837.

Amaralingeswara Swamy temple executive officer P Sunil Kumar said,"special pujas will start on the occasion of auspicious Karthika Masam from November 16. We have set up special queues for the convenience of devotees visiting the temple and taken steps to follow social distance in the queues. We have taken steps to make announcements through the loud speakers for the convenience of devotees. the devotees rush will be less this year due to Covid-19 pandemic."
