YSRCP candidates filed a separate election petition challenging the election of TDP candidates. The High Court responded to these petitions and has issued notices to Guntur MP Galla Jayadev, Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan Rao and Palakollu MLA Dr Nimmala Ramanaidu. The next hearing was postponed to six weeks.

YSRCP candidate Modukula Venugopalreddy filed an election petition challenging the election of Galla Jayadev from Guntur. The petition stated that he lost by a mere 4,200 votes as the votes were not counted appropriately.

YSRCP candidate Boppana Bhava Kumar also challenged Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan Rao election on behalf of his election agent V. Srinivasa Reddy. The YSRCP party filed petitions alleging differences in income details mentioned in affidavits.
