Kakinada: Historic temples like Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy Temple, Annavaram, Sri Bhemeswara Swamy Temple, Draksharama, Sri Kumara Rama Bhimeswara Swamy Temple, Samolkot, Sri Someswara Swamy Temple, Kotipalli and Kukketeswara Swamy Temple, Pithapuram (Padagaya) provided Darshan to devotees on Thursday.

The temple authorities said that trial run was conducted to permit devotees. The devotees will not be allowed for special sevas, poojas and other programmes in the temples. The devotees are being allowed only for Darshan. The temple managements arranged sanitizers and circles to maintain physical distance for the Darshan.

Annavaram Devastham Executive Officer Vendra Trinatha Rao said that they conducted the trial run with local devotees and employees maintaining social distance in the temple. He said that as per the government guidelines they allowed the devotees for Darshan. On the precautionary measures, 800 devotees were allowed for Darshan on Thursday. He said that they sold two lakhs Prasadam packets at the counter points.
