Kurnool: Tense situation prevailed at Collectorate when a scuffle broke out between Rayalaseema students JAC leaders and police as the leaders tried to obstruct the district In-charge Minister P Anil Kumar Yadav here on Thursday The minister visited city to attend district review committee meeting. The JAC leaders planned to handover him a representation with charter of demands.

When the minister was trying to enter collectorate, the JAC and other leaders tried to obstruct him and police personnel who were in large number tried to foil their attempt. In the process, a scuffle broke out between the police and JAC leaders.

The minister met the leaders and went through the charter of demands. Later responding them, Anil Kumar Yadav said that Chief Minister is from Rayalaseema and is much interested to set up High Court in Kurnool.

After handing over the representation to the minister, the student leaders of Rayalaseema Joint Action Committee (JAC) took up educational institutions bandh programme. All most all government, private and aided schools and colleges including nursing colleges were forced to keep close.

The leaders, Sunil Kumar Reddy, Sriramulu, Venkatesh and Chandrappa said to media persons that the educational institutions bandh call observed in four Rayalaseema districts.
