TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would be given the Nobel prize

Amaravati: TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would be given the Nobel prize if his paracetamol idea provides relief to so many countries which were not able to find the right cure for the virus right now.

Addressing at a press conference on Wednesday, Naidu ridiculed the Chief Minister for his casual remarks on the COVID-19, in an attempt to underestimate the impact of the virus. This attempt was made by the chief minister to mount pressure on the State Election Commission to revoke the postponement of the local body elections, informed the TDP leader.

Reacting sarcastically on the comments of Chief Minister that the Coronavirus could be prevented by sprinkling bleaching powder and using paracetamol tablets, Chandrababu Naidu asked Jagan whether he made any study before making his casual remark on paracetamol as a cure for COVID-19 epidemic.

Naidu said that Jagan should explain whether bleaching powder should be sprayed on each and every person so as to prevent the spread of pandemic. By making such comments, Jagan has become a laughing stock in both the national and international media.

TDP supremo said that even now, the CM was not making any effort to correct his mistake nor was he consulting senior health officials in the government. Naidu asked how Jagan could say that such epidemics come and go and it was a continuous process.

Naidu demanded that the government take immediate additional measures for the safety of the public without suppressing details of virus cases any more. As per the Government of India, over 11,000 persons returned to Andhra Pradesh from different countries where the virus outbreak was alarming. There are reports that Jagan's daughters have also returned home from the US.

Stating that Telugu students are being asked to vacate hostels in foreign countries, Naidu told Jagan government to start immediate steps to bring them home as those students are facing a lot of problems on account of cancellation of flights.
