A 60 Year old woman died with covid-19 positive in Government General Hospital but the family members of the woman took away the body to their residence without taking permission from the hospital personnel
Kakinada: A 60 Year old woman died with covid-19 positive in Government General Hospital but the family members of the woman took away the body to their residence without taking permission from the hospital personnel.
It posed several doubts about how the body could be brought from the hospital and what the hospital authorities did.
According to sources, the woman was admitted in GGH with fever symptoms on Monday. The hospital authorities took the blood samples from her. But, later she died. The sample reports detected the woman as `Covid-19 positive'.
Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased took away the body and brought it to her residence. It is learnt that the locals informed the police.
The police officials directed the family members to take the body to the burial ground.
Meanwhile, the Municipal Health Personnel reached the burial ground with covid-19 protocol bags for cremation of the body and completed the rituals. The area which the woman resided in has been declared as a red zone.
