Kakinada: The efforts of police and media resulted in safe return of the kidnapped child of Mandapeta N Jasith in the early hours on Thursday. It may be noted that the boy was kidnapped on Monday evening.

According to sources, the child was abandoned near a brick making unit at Kutukuluru village in Anaparti Mandal in East Godavari district around 1 am on Thursday. The workers in the unit recognised the boy because of wide publicity and provided the boy a chair to sit.

At about 4 am, the owner of the brick unit came there and tried to contact the parents of the boy, but in vain as the parents did not believe him.

When the brick unit owner Yesu sent a whatsapp message, the parents informed the police. The district police chief Adanan Nayeem Asmi went to Kutukuluru and brought the boy to Mandapeta and handed him over to his parents.

The boy who was away from home did not feel home sick, but was in joyful mood and spoke to media freely over the incident. He revealed that the kidnappers told him that they were going to his aunt's place. Meanwhile, the district police are in the lookout for the kidnappers.

According to district police chief Adanan Nayeem Asmi, they got some vital clues over the kidnappers' identity and said that as the case is in investigating stage, they cannot disclose the details.
