Kurnool: BC, SC, ST and Minority Students' Association state chief Vankari Rama Chandrudu has demanded the government to immediately start admissions for intermediate and degree courses. The association leaders staged a protest in front of the association office at Nandyal on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, Rama Chandrudu said though six months of the academic year was already passed but the government was least concerned to start admissions to intermediate and degree courses.

If the government delays to start admissions, then the students would be forced to discontinue education and search for a job as daily wage workers. The government, keeping the bright future of the students in mind, should immediately start admissions or it will be held responsible for ruining the career of students, he said.

Association district secretary Shaik Riyaz said the Board of Intermediate should suspend the online process and demanded to continue admissions in old method. This issue was taken to the notice of secretary of BIE. Though BIE secretary ordered the officials of district education department, they yet to give instructions to the colleges, alleged Shaik Riyaz. He urged Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to intervene in this issue and save the lives of students from ruining it. He also demanded the BIE to refund the amount collected from the students towards online admissions.
