As part of ongoing brahmotsavams of Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple at Vontimitta, Lord Rama was decorated as Navaneetha krishnna on Tuesday.

Kadapa : As part of ongoing brahmotsavams of Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple at Vontimitta, Lord Rama was decorated as Navaneetha krishnna on Tuesday.

Devotees in large number thronged to the temple though there was mercury levels are high on Tuesday to witness glimpse of Lord and offer special prayers in this historical temple town.

In the earlier temple priests have conducted special rituals in the morning, later performed Snapanatirumanjanam to the Utsava idols as per Agama Sastra.

At night Lord Rama was taken out in a procession on Hanumantha Vahanam.

Meanwhile the TTD has made elobarate arrangements for smooth conduction of Sitarama Kalyanam proposed to be held on 18th April that is Thursday.

In view of expecting about 2 lack devotees all over the state the administration has ensure all steps for the success of event.

In view of bitter experience that about 10 devotees were killed and 15 more got injured during the Sitarama Kalyanam last year due to Natural calamity, the administration has constructed sheds with German technology in 52 acers of land in the premises of venue.

District collector Ch Harikiran visited Vontimitta along with joint Collector Koteswara Rao, TTD JEO Lakshmi Kantham, AEO Ramaraju expressed satisfaction over ongoing full fledged arrangements.

Speaking to media persons collector said the administration has initiated every step in for the convenient of devotees witnessing Sitarama Kalyanam. Drinking water facility has been made at several points in the town and 2 ambulances were kept ready for at Kalyana Vedika.

However Collector said there will be a possibility of chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, and Governor ESL Narasimhan to witness the Sitarama Kalyanam as the administration made full proof security.
