Kurnool: BJP ex-Rajya Sabha Member TG Venkatesh said that martial arts build courage and confidence among the practitioners to tackle difficulties with ease. It also enhances concentration, he added.
Appreciating the winners of Wushu Karate competitions at a programme at his residence here on Thursday, Venkatesh suggested everyone should practice martial art from a tender age, which makes people strong and healthy. Students besides pursuing education, also practice martial art.
He wished all the very best to the winners, advising them to practice regularly without fail. He told them to represent Kurnool and international championship competitions.
Later, ex-Rajya Sabha Member Venkatesh presented medals and trophies to the winners.
District Wushu Association secretary Srinivasulu said the district level Wushu karate competitions were held at Rosaiah Community Hall in Kids world on December 13.
Around 20 students participated in the competitions.
