Govt has no intention to shutdown Anna canteens, says AP Minister

Amaravati: In a reply to the TDP members question, AP Minister Botsa Satyanarayana said that the government has no intention to close down the Anna canteens. He clarified that at present only 183 canteens are operating across the state.

Botsa also commented that the earlier government had started the Anna canteens in a hurry without any aim before the elections. He added that changing the canteen color doesn't mean canceling the scheme. During a debate over Anna canteens, the war of words has taken place between the ruling and opposition parties in the Assembly.
