MLA inaugurates Open Carrom Tourney in Chittoor
MLA A Srinivasulu inaugurated the Open Carrom Tournament -2019 at Indoor Sports Stadium here on Friday in which the carrom players from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and Pondicherry states have taken part.

He reiterated that the teachers should cultivate sports culture among the students. He recalled that National level sports events had taken place at Chittoor Sports Stadium earlier. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is a cricket player and is committed for the development of sports, the MLA said.
Explaining the salient futures of Open Carrom Tournament 2019, Chittoor District Carrom Association president V Siva Kumar said the tournaments for Mens singles and Doubles will be held as per the norms of All India Carrom Federation & International Carrom Federation.
Association general secretary P Pandurangam said that consuming wine and smoking by the participants were strictly prohibited . CHUDA Chairman Purushottam Reddy, Joint Collector 2 V R Chandramouli and others were present.
