MP Margani Bharat Ram urges Centre to construct ESI building in Rajamahendravaram
MP Margani Bharat Ram submitted a memorandum to Union Minister for Labour and Employment Santosh Kumar Gangwar at New Delhi on Monday, asking him to initiate steps for the construction of an ESI hospital building in the city which was in a dilapidated condition.
Rajamahendravaram: MP Margani Bharat Ram submitted a memorandum to Union Minister for Labour and Employment Santosh Kumar Gangwar at New Delhi on Monday, asking him to initiate steps for the construction of an ESI hospital building in the city which was in a dilapidated condition.
In his memorandum submitted to the Minster, the MP stated that a team of engineering experts from IIIT Tirupati inspected the hospital building twice in the years 2018 and also 2019 but so far no steps were taken for the construction of new building.
ESI hospital was constructed in an area of 3.05 acres out of seven acres of land and there is sufficient land for construction of 100 bedded hospital. The hospital caters to the needs of about five lakh workers and their family members of twin Godavari districts.
Later, speaking to 'The Hans India' here on Tuesday, the MP said that the Minister responded positively and assured to issue directions to ESI Corporation to start construction of new hospital building.
