Guntur: District Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar on Wednesday made it clear that there is no Coronavirus positive case in the Guntur district and the administration has taken all precautionary measures to check spread of Covid-19.
The District Collector inspected the Covid-19 control room set up in Guntur city and inquired about information coming from various areas in the district.
District Medical and Health Officer Dr Y Yasmin gave details of the information received from various mandals in the district. She submitted the list of the foreign returned persons in the district to the collector. So far, 891 persons returned from foreign countries in the district, she added.
The collector directed the officials concerned to keep them in home isolation for 14 days and observe their movements. He warned that if foreign returned persons move freely the administration will book case against them.
He said that if the case is booked under the section 188 of IP'C, in future they will face problems to get visas, passports. As a result, it will be difficult for them to go abroad.
If foreign returned suffering from Coronavirus symptoms, they should contact Coronavirus control room. If they suffer from cold, cough and fever, they may get admitted in GGH or Government Fever Hospital in Guntur city. He suggested those who fixed their marriages or returned to the country for marriages from foreign countries they would better go for register marriages.
