Old couple killed while asleep in Darsi
An old couple was found killed in bed on Monday morning. They were murdered in sleep at their home on Sunday night.
Darsi: An old couple was found killed in bed on Monday morning. They were murdered in sleep at their home on Sunday night. Their son, who is said to be sleeping in the front room, claims that his parents might have committed suicide, but police express doubts on his version. The police booked a case and started the investigation.
According to police officials, Annapureddy Venkata Reddy, 60, and Ademma, 55, live in a two-room house near Saibaba temple in Darsi. Their son Narayana Reddy sleeps in the front room, while the old couple sleeps in the back room.
As the couple has sold their land a few months ago due to financial issues, the brother of Venkata Reddy gifted him 10 cents for their living. The locals suspect that the son of Venkata Reddy has been forcing them to sell those 10 cents of land.
On Monday morning, the old couple was found dead in their blood-soaked beds with their veins at wrists slit and injuries on heads.
The Darsi DSP G Prakasa Rao, CI Moin and other local police reached the crime scene and started the investigation.
