Ongole: Prakasam district SP Siddharth Kaushal announced that they have made tight security arrangements for the local body elections.
He announced that they have found 11 of the 56 mandals in the district are tension-prone areas and made arrangements accordingly for the smooth conduct of the elections.
In the note, the SP said that they have appointed 2 DSPs including the traffic DSP K Venugopal, Disha police station DSP M Dhanunjayudu and four CIs as special officers for the tension prone mandals and ordered them to tour in the villages and keep strict vigil in them.
The SP said that they were taking up tight security measures in the troublesome villages and also counselling trouble mongers in the meantime.
He announced that the police personnel in the district are working hard to see the election process in 936 villages conducted freely and peacefully and said that the process continues until the election process is complete.
