Orientation on Inspire Manak Award concludes
The three-day orientation programme on ‘Inspire Manak Award’ conducted to the teachers of Vijayawada division by District Science Officer Mynam Hussain concluded here on Thursday.
Vijayawada: The three-day orientation programme on 'Inspire Manak Award' conducted to the teachers of Vijayawada division by District Science Officer Mynam Hussain concluded here on Thursday. The programme was organised on the instructions of District Educational Officer MV Rajyalakshmi. The chief guest of the programme was Deputy Educational Officer K Ravi Kumar.
Ravi Kumar explained to the teachers about Inspire Manak Award programme and created awareness and how to get the award at national level which was given since 2010. He explained how to post new ideas to the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and intern to National Innovation Foundation (NIF).
He said that if the project is selected at the school level the student will get Rs 10,000 into their account, he added. Later, Hussain explained about the national level projects and gave suggestion to teachers. The programme was held to all the teachers of Class VI to X. In the orientation programme, 120 Physics teachers, 100 Biological Science and 100 Mathematics teachers took part.
