Vijayawada: PB Siddhartha College of Arts and Science on Friday inked pact with Bajaj Finserv Ltd to offer Certificate Programme in Banking, Finance and Insurance (CPBFI) from this academic year. Under CSR initiative, Bajaj Finserv Ltd identified potential colleges in tier 2 and tier 3 cities and towns across the country to offer this certificate course with an objective of producing job-ready students in the domains of banking, finance and insurance as there was a huge demand for manpower in these areas.

Ajay Sathe, chief customer officer of Bajaj Finance and Dr Meka Ramesh, college principal exchanged MoU documents at a programme held at the college. Speaking to the occasion, the principal said that their college was fortunate to be recognised by Bajaj Finserv to offer this course which enables the commerce and management students to choose their career either in Bajaj or reputed corporates immediately after graduation.

Director Vemuri Baburao acclaimed that their efforts to collaborate with leading corporates and industries are reaping fruits in form of career opportunities and internships for their students. Ajay Sathe said that this 120-hour training programme comprised of Banking, Insurance, Communication skills, Computer awareness and interview skills to be imparted by expert trainers employed by Bajaj.

Dean of the college Prof Rajesh thanked Bajaj Finserv authorities for providing such a valuable opportunity to their institution. He added that it will help graduates of their college in general and MBA, BBA and B Com students in particular. Training and placement officer of the college Sridhar Kavuri and training partner of Bajaj Finserv Rajasekhar Reddy were present.
