Guntur: Guntur Range DIG CM Trivikram Varma informed that they have granted permission for conducting a public meeting and rallies at Rayapudi in Guntur district on December 17th with some conditions.
It may be mentioned that Amaravati Parirakshana Samithi JAC is conducting the public meeting on the occasion of completion of one year of its agitation to continue state capital in Amaravati on Thursday.
Addressing media at DPO in Guntur city on Wednesday, he said that the speakers should not make inflammatory speeches at the public meeting. They may conduct the public meeting peacefully between 11 am to 4 pm.
"If any speaker will make incite statements at the public meeting, we will take stern action against them," he warned.
He said that the organizers must follow Covid-19 guidelines and maintain social distance. He further said that the organizers should not gather the people from other districts.
He said the police department has taken all the steps to avoid untoward incidents. He said, they will allow emergency vehicles and judges vehicles on Karakatta. He made it clear that they did not take anybody into custody.
Guntur rural SP Vishal Gunni was also present.
