Kakinada: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pilli Subhash Chnadra Bose on Tuesday said the purification process of land records, resurvey of 3.31 crores acres land in the State would be carried out in a phased manner.

The Minister, Kakinada MP Vanda Geetha, Kakinada MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy launched YSR Rythu Bharosa programme at Panduru village. Subhash Chandra Bose said the land survey was done in the State in the year 1911 and for first time in the history of the State, resurvey was proposed by the State government.

Initially the survey would be undertaken as a pilot project in Jagayyapeta mandal in Krishna district by employing the satellite technology and later it would be extended to entire State. He said the Agriculture Cultivators Act 2019 was meant for protection of tenant farmers without harming the interests of landowners and the government allocated Rs 3,500 crore for providing zero interest loans to farmers in the State .

With regard to YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme, the Minister said the scheme was intended to protect the interest of the farmers. District Collector D Muralidhar Reddy said a total of 4,28,077 lakh farmers were getting benefit. The government had allotted Rs 577.90 crore YSR Bharosa scheme in the district.

Kakinada MP Vanga Geetha said that festive atmosphere was witnessed in the State. She said Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had fulfilled the election promise by launching the scheme. Kakinada City MLA Dwarampudi Chnadra Sekhar Reddy, Agriculture Department Joint Director K S V Prasad and others were present.
